Here’s some quick pics of signs I’ve seen while out and about in Auckland. I find travelling so inspiring as you come into contact with so many new ideas, and trends that might not be in the Uk yet. I have my ideas notebook at the ready.

I’ve always been a massive fan of Robert Ryan’s paper cut inspired screen prints. He has his own shop on the wonderful craft portal Etsy, so if you haven’t checked him, or Etsy, out yet - its a must for Christmas  shopping. I’ll be including some of my other Etsy finds later on in the Advent Callender.

In the Summer, the hubby and I had a little weekend away and I’ve been meaning to blog about it for ages. Not only did we stay at the gorgeous Somerset Arms, (which has just won Food Pub of the Year 2009 so it must be good!) but we came across a great little shop in Frome. In the Woodshed specialize in found and vintage objects for the home and have some gorgeous unique pieces for sale in their online shop. And if they don’t have what you’re looking for, you can email them a brief and they will search it out for you. Some of their finds are these wonderful vintage letters and signs - I’m hooked!
